This half term I went to Rome and the bay of Naples with school. It was lots of fun and a good time was had by most people.
We began the week in Rome. On the saturday we arrived at our hotel, which turned out to be a convent!
That day we went to see the Pantheon. It was interesting because I had never seen it before. The next morning we changed hotels to a different one round the corner. That day, Sunday, we went to the Palintine hill, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.
On the Monday we went to the Vatican museum, and then on the coach to Sperlonga.
The next day we went to see a villia, and then on to Sorrento. The veiw of our balcony in Sorrento was amazing, and we spent the rest of the day relaxing in our hotel.
On Wednesday we spent the day at Herculaneum, which left everyone a bit tired on the train home.
The next day we went to Mount Vesuvuis and the Naples museum.
On the Friday we went to Pompeii. I thought it was really amazing to see this town so like what it would have looked like in Roman times.
That night we went out for our last night in Sorrento.
On Saturday, our last day, we went to Capri. It was a lovely day and the ferry trip was fantastic.
We then got on the coach and headed home. We had lots of laughs and fun all the way to the end of the trip, when Alex set off the fire alarm in the airport!
